Below is part of an introduction by John Bruckin.
“This inspirational, magical and powerful work will surely make a unique impression on you. It is edgy, mysterious and works on many levels. It is full of exuberantly rich word sounds and textures, Blakean like images and both riveting and haunting jazz music that all work together in an extraordinary way.
The metaphorical alchemist fire of the title and the opening passage has a transforming effect throughout, changing the baser elements of man’s involvement in the game of creation into a new and higher form of union as a synthesis of seeming opposites which need each other to stand out and reveal themselves for what they really are.”
